UNLAWFUL DETAINER / EVICTIONS During COVID-19

As a result of the pandemic, there are 2 new laws that have been enacted regarding evictions:

1. AB3088, the Tenant, Homeowner, and Small Landlord Relief Act of 2020, was signed and became effective on August 31, 2020 [AB3088].

2. On September 1, 2020, the CDC issued an agency order, Temporary Halt in Residential Evictions to Prevent the Further Spread of COVID-19, which became effective on September 4, 2020 [CDC Eviction Moratorium Order].
